All, I am seeking some clarification from something in the manual (v12.0.0 - 16.0.0) regarding ASID assignment. The section in question is 8.3.1.6 'TLB invalidation'. The statement in part is "invalidating all mappings of an ASID (triggered by deleting a VSpace)". I was confused however as the section also contains ARM specific information and 8.3 is labelled as 'ARM-SPECIFIC I/O'. Can I depend on an ASID being unmapped when its associated vspace object is deleted on all supported platforms, or just on ARM? Is there something else I need to do to reuse ASIDs other than just delete the vspace object? Sincerely, Ben McCart
