We're pleased to announce the release of - seL4 16.0.0: The seL4 microkernel https://docs.sel4.systems/releases/sel4/16.0.0 - Microkit 2.3.0: The seL4 Microkit for building static-architecture systems https://docs.sel4.systems/releases/microkit/2.3.0 - CAmkES 3.13.0: Component Architecture for microkernel-based Embedded Systems https://docs.sel4.systems/releases/camkes/camkes-3.13.0 - capDL 0.6.0: Tools for generating, parsing and loading capability distribution specifications https://docs.sel4.systems/releases/capdl/0.6.0 - rust-sel4 5.0.0: Rust support for seL4 userspace https://github.com/seL4/rust-sel4/releases/tag/v5.0.0 seL4 16.0.0 and the corresponding Rust support have breaking changes and will require updates if you are using the seL4 API directly. CAmkES and the capDL tool add units for domain schedules as a new feature, but are backwards compatible. The Microkit release comes with new features and has breaking changes for x86_64 systems. QSOE: QNX-inspired OS with dual-kernel architecture (custom kernel & seL4)

Hi! This is my project which I recently announced: https://qsoe.net Interestingly, when working in the shell (mksh-derived), the subjective "feeling" is that QSOE/N (with Skimmer) is ~10 times faster than /L :) . Launching e.g. "time ls" command confirms this: 0.1s for QSOE/L (with seL4) vs. 0.01s for QSOE/N. The work continues. Now I'm working on a video controller support for my SiFive Unmatched; then, when the _real_ text-mode console is there, I'll return to active QSOE developments. -- Regards, Yuri

RFC: Enabling uROS on seL4

Hi Everyone, I have recently been experimenting with porting uROS to seL4. uROS (micro-ROS) is a very minimal version of ROS (Robot Operating System) - a well known robotics middleware suite. I have implemented the micro-ROS examples <https://github.com/micro-ROS/micro-ROS-demos/tree/kilted/rclc> and the necessary system to run them on seL4 over here <https://github.com/Johan511/sel4_uros>.
